last year at this time, mom went on the annual high school retreat. joey was still in high school, so he was with her. that left ryan and my dad at home all by their lonesome. even though i wasn't living at home, i felt that it was my responsibility to take care of my boys.
we went out to eat all four nights she was gone. dad paid.
today my mom left for the annual high school retreat.

uncle lionel wants to know if this means you will be paying for the meals this time around as a way of "taking care of your boys"....since "at this time" you have a full time job? he's just asking...

We're well taken care of. Tonight it was Mac's brisket (wonderful!). Tomorrow left overs, Wednesday's still open if you want to treat us.
